Dear Diary,

Did I tell you whenever we go back to Kedah we’d make an effort to go to Penang too? So when we went back for Aidilfitri last August, we also made rounds of visits to relative’s houses in Penang. Since we were already there, of course we didn’t waste the opportunity to drive around Penang hotspots and enjoy its gastronomic delights.

Before heading back to Alor Setar, we stopped at Padang Kota Lama to
tapau my favorite
rojak buah (fruit salad). I’m talking about
Rojak 101, stall number 46 at Kompleks Makanan Medan Renong, Padang Kota Lama.

After trying
rojak from this seller many years ago, we kept coming back for more. They started from just a humble pushcart now they are operating from one of the stalls at the food court. It has been number one on my favorite
rojak list since then and it still reigns as champion until today.

101 Rojak (Esplanade). Business Hours: 6pm – 12.30am. Closed on Wednesday. Telephone number: 016 – 446 1666
