Something happened during our stay in Kedah last week. One
night, we went out to see snake exhibition at the State Museum. After that, we
wanted to go to McDonald’s City Plaza for dinner. We arrived at the
destination, parked our car and crossed the street.
Everything was according to plan at first. There were 3
adults and 6 children. To cross the street, Hubby held Irfan, I held Imran’s
and Zarra’s hands; while my brother handled his three girls. As we safely
reached the other side of the road, my two nieces (Amirah and Athirah) ran
ahead of everybody else. I was talking to (scolding more correctly) Imran and
my attention were on him. Zarra broke free from my grip and ran towards her two
cousins. Then, suddenly all of us heard a loud sound.
BANG!
And I saw Zarra lying on the ground (face up), crying. I
rushed to her side and hugged her, consoling her at the same time. All the
while I was thinking that she was hurting at the back of her head from the
fall. When I looked at her face, blood was dripping from her forehead to her
nose. Dah lemah lutut time ni! To my surprise, there was a wound on her
forehead. It was quite deep. She had run directly into a steel bar of a big
poster. The poster was a permanent kind, so you can imagine how strong the
steel is. It was only a few steps away from me. As the bar is the same height
as she is, Zarra did not notice it as her focus was to get to her cousins. She
must have run very fast to produce that kind of wound.
Straightaway, we went to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. Tears
started to well up in my eyes as I walked back to the car and rolled down my
face on the way to the Emergency Room. We managed to stop the bleeding en route
to the hospital. I kept asking her whether she feels nauseated, fainting or any
head aches.
To cut the story short, she ended up with 1 jab on her arm
(nak elak kancing gigi) and 1 stitch on her forehead. She’s one brave girl,
going through all the procedures without any fuss. She cried of course but no
big drama whatsoever. The stitch was done without any anesthesia, mind you.
Alhamdulillah semua dah elok. Dugaan ni kecik je kalau nak
banding dugaan orang lain yang ada anak berpenyakit serius.
Ps:
Hubby ejek sebab i menangis beria-ia. Anak dara sorang tu ja you!
6 notes of inspiration:
aduuuhhh kesiannya zarra. Semestinya sangat sakit buat anak sekecik dia. harap kemudian hari tak tingal kesan parut.
p/s: semestinya mama nangis beria walaupun andainya anak dara lebih dari sorang kan!
Lady Lavender - Tengah suspens tunggu Isnin sebab hari tu nak gi klinik bukak jahitan Zarra. Tp rasanya luka tu akan meninggalkan kesan parut :(
ps: Mama nangis beria sebab well mothers memang mcm tu i guess. First experience tu...huhu.

Sisdee - Dah namapun budak-budak, takdenya reti nak insaf. Zarra dok berlari menonong serupa tu gak.

Zakian - Laaaa, tak tau ka ceghita ni? Kakak lupa ceghita ek. Sori la. Tanya ja kat Nana (yg berada di tempat kejadian) or Kak Umey (yg berada jap kat wad kecemasan) or Mama (yg setia di sisi all the way thru).
