Dear Diary,
School session for 2013 began last two weeks. We were
looking forward to this year session because both Imran and Zarra started
schooling at a private school.
Imran transferred from Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 13 to
Sekolah Al-Fikr Bistari. There are a few reasons that led us to this decision.
Imran is far behind in Pendidikan Islam and Bahasa Arab. He’s performing
miserably in these subjects and thus lowered his overall percentage. We’re
worried that he’ll lose interest in both and will be left too far behind.
At the new school, furthermore, personal attention is more
because they limit number of students to only 10 pupils per class. Imran’s
school session starts at 8am and ends at 5.30pm. In the morning, he learns the
same subjects as his peers in sekolah kebangsaan. In the afternoon, he has
religious classes. In between, there’re times for dhuha, zohor and asar
prayers.
A few days after school started, Imran came back and
announced that he has been elected as Class Monitor. He’s also learning to be
an imam in prayers and announcing the azan. What’s important for us is that he
enjoys learning. We also want him to master his religious knowledge for his own
sake. Alhamdulillah, from our observations, he’s happy at this new school. When
we ask him, that is also his answer.
Moga Allah permudahkan segalanya untuk Imran menimba ilmu
dunia dan akhirat.
