For the duration of our stay in Ipoh, we stayed at De Hotel. This boutique hotel which is located in Ipoh Garden (near post office and next to Courts), is a relatively new hotel (opened in October 2010). Its interior deco is modern and urban. The rooms are neat and clean (we stayed in Room 319 and 335) with flat-screen TV. In one of the rooms, the bathroom is glass walled. Before your imagination runs wild, there is a shower curtain for the shower cubicle. The hotel staffs are friendly and attended to our problems pronto. One major drawback is parking spaces which are very limited. Although parking is free of charge but it’s on first come first serve basis.
There is no dining inside the hotel but you get free Wi-Fi access. For RM118 per night, I’d say it’s worth your money. Moreover, it is near to Jusco Kinta City, Tesco, post office, banks and highway PLUS exit. The address is 86, Jalan Dato’ Lau Pak Khuan, Ipoh Garden, 31400 Ipoh, Perak. Contact numbers: 605 5452222 (hunting line) and 605 5453533 (fax). Any enquiry can also be answered via email: dehotel2@yahoo.com
Our stay at this hotel was Zarra’s first real staying in a hotel experience. She had stayed in hotels before but she was too young to remember any of it. She was over excited and explored everything inside the room. It was funny watching her conducts. She didn’t even want to go out because she wanted to laze on the comfy bed with thick blanket in the air-conditioned room while watching television.
2 notes of inspiration:
