Dan’s wedding (bride’s side) took place on the same day of his akad nikah ceremony. The event kicked off with all guests mingled around in front of the ballroom entrance. There were musicians in Scottish attire serenading songs with bagpipes. While waiting, guests were served with fruit juices and tidbits (kerepek and maruku).
With the arrival of the celebrated couple at around 9pm, guests were ushered into the ballroom. The pengantin walked in and sat on the pelamin. Doa recital by an ustaz and merenjis followed suit. After which a silat demo and food presentation were performed by the hotel staffs. While guests were enjoying their meals, a video montage was televised narrating how the couple met, their relationship and well wishes from friends.
It was a night to remember with good company and good food. Love definitely was all around!
