A Hotel Wedding at The Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, Mar 2011

Dear Diary,

Last March, Hubby’s colleague invited us to her wedding which was held at The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. The one in which Chef Wan’s daughter, Serina, had a glamorous and magnificent wedding. The hotel itself already has beautiful façade. Organizing a wedding there only fulfills your fantasized wedding dreams given that you have the capital that is.

The event was held at Taman Mahsuri, an open courtyard which was transformed into beautifully decorated garden wedding. As soon as we arrived, we were required to sign in the guest book. There was also an area to hand over gifts and presents. Then, we proceed to the sitting area. But first our photos were captured under a floral arch at the entrance.

The theme color for the night was turquoise blue with dash of silver. The arrival of the newlyweds was signaled by the arrival of a cute little girl on a remote car. Then came the bridesmaids followed by the handsome couple. They marched straight to the dining table. There was no bersanding ceremony.

Next is my favorite part – food. Oh what can I say about the food? Some were heavenly, some were letdowns. The buffet spread was super long with soup, breads and buns, sushi, appetizers, nasi minyak and lauk pauk, desserts and fruits. The desserts section was lip smacking delicious.

Before going back, we checked out the hotel’s lobby and took more pictures at the surrounding area. To the couple, may you be happily together forever. For more info on the hotel, click here.
