Taiping, Sept 2012

Dear Diary,

In September last year, there was a wedding in Taiping. We said yes to the invitation and seized that golden opportunity to plan for a short family holiday. Instead of just attending the wedding, we traveled north a day earlier to enjoy some sightseeing.

Taiping Bandar Warisan declares one of the billboards. That designation portrays the town perfectly. In Taiping town itself, there’re many old buildings with beautiful architecture. Even the atmosphere around this charming town gave us a déjà vu. It felt like we were transported back to the 80s.

Three very excited kids on their first visit to Taiping
One thing for sure, our 2D/1N stay was not sufficient to give this quaint town justice. We didn’t get to comprehensively explore the town. Taiping has so much more to offer to visitors.

Somehow, Taiping reminds me of Kuala Kubu Baru (click at link for more info on Taiping)
