Darul Ehsan Medical Center / DEMC Specialist Hospital

Dear Diary,

DARUL EHSAN MEDICAL CENTER / DEMC SPECIALIST HOSPITAL

Just wanna promote this place and share my experiences dealing with people at this place. Bear in mind I don’t get any commission or discounts or special rate by doing this. Since I find this hospital offers good service and is reasonably priced, why not spread the words.

My first experience at DEMC was way back in 2004. I was a few weeks pregnant when all of a sudden I started to bleed. A friend of Hubby brought me to DEMC for treatment since Hubby was having his final exam paper at that exact time. Sadly to say, I lost the baby and had to undergo D&C. Dr. Norleen, the O&G, was very proficient in soothing me as if she had known me all my life.

Since that day, we as a family had been regular customers at DEMC. I gave birth to Zarra and Irfan there. Besides Dr. Norleen, I also have good rapport with Dr. Mazita, another O&G who is very motherly. Both my labor experiences were wonderful. What I like most is the minute my babies came out of me; they were greeted with Assalamualaikum and Alhamdulillah by my doctor and nurses on duty. What a wonderful way to welcome a new baby into this world!

All of my children go there for their immunizations and regular check-ups. Their pediatrician, Dr. Roliza, is one superb doctor in handling babies and kids. She’s ever so soft and knows how to tackle children and most importantly knows how to win their trusts. In fact come to think of it, all my three kids have never wailed for any jabs so far. Of course they cried a little but not uncontrollably or for a long time.

I had also experienced being hospitalized here. Oh, don’t get me start on DEMC’s menu. Just let me say this, I had tough time deciding what to eat at each meal time. My stay was a pleasant one. The doctors, nurses and staff’s services were excellent. They were polite and attentive. I know good service is expected since it is a private medical center (berbayarkan!) but you’ll be well treated here irrespective of your background.

The hospital’s address is No 4, Jalan Ikhtisas, Section 14, 40000 Shah Alam, Selangor (It is located in the town center area). Contact number – (03) 5515 1888. Please surf www.demc.com.my for more details.

Not recommended. Doctors not professional esp. Dr Rahman

Anonymous - Sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with services of DEMC doctors. Well, we'll take note of this and be on the lookout for Dr Rahman. So far, our experiences have been good.

Salam Sis,
I'm currently browsing over good hospitals for delivery. and DEMC is so far our top priority. Dekat dengan rumah n mcm ok since new bulding ni...

cuma I nk tanya psal o&g specialist. Dr.Norleen mmg femes and proficient but she wont take any new patient for the time being. n from ur review I think Dr Mazita is good as well. but do you know anything about Dr Fairuz Ashikin? is she OK (soft, proficient, informative, etc)...

thanks in advance sis :)

Xiet_Enigma - Salam perkenalan. Serasa akak area Shah Alam ni ada berapa kerat je good hospitals. Maaflah sis sebab akak tak blh nak komen about Dr Fairuz Ashikin sebab tak penah deal dgn dia. Unfair pulak rasanya for me to review on her.

Ada sorang lagi O&G yg akak tau, Dr Zamri. If you don't mind being treated by a male doctor, he's ok gak. Akak penah sekali dulu jumpa dia before switch to Dr Norleen.

bg sy Dr Zamri o&g specialist plg hebat compared to others..sbb nye dia sorg dlm demc yg ada kelayakan buat bayi tabung uji..kira hebat la2 kn..

Anonymous - Thank you for sharing the info. Bangga rasanya seorang doktor Melayu mempunyai kebolehan macam tu! Dari pengalaman saya jumpa Dr Zamri, he's a good O&G. Cumanya saya ni jadi segan sebab dia lelaki. Tu yg switch to Dr Norleen.

i gave birth to my son with Dr. Zamri so far no probs at all. He is very polite and very pro too. Sebab tu bayar mahal kan?
Now, currently for my second baby Im switching to Dr Norleen too. Yup! She didnt want too many patients due to some circumstances. Because my hubby work there, kita dah kawtim to go for Dr Norleen. alhamdulillah, now dah 3x consult dengan dia, and she is very GOOD!
Not because my husband work there, but DEMC staff have a very high hospitality attitude compared to others.
I love being treated there :)
salam kenal,
momy cha!

Mommy_Cha - Salam perkenalan. Based on my experience with Dr Zamri...yup, he's very professional. I agree with you staff DEMC setakat ni yg I deal with memang baik belaka.

Hope you have a smooth delivery, Insya Allah.

My good fren went to Dr Zamri for all her 3 kids & he's highly recommended. Mine is Dr Fatima of KJMC & I highly recommend dia. But my personal experience with DEMC, their A&E is teribble. My daughter demam dah 39.7'c, cakap once, buat bodoh, 2 kali cakap baru nak panggil masuk sup. Terrible attitude.

Ida - I pun penah deal dgn A&E DEMC. Time tu anak-anak demam. Yg bongsu demam dah lebih seminggu. Memang kena tunggu agak lama. Then sekali lagi when i sendiri kena diarrhea. Tp staff & doktor semua okay.
