Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Feb 2011

Dear Diary,
Once we finished our lunch, we strolled to Dataran Pahlawan across the street. Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall is a shopping haven that combines both modern and traditional elements. In addition to everything that we normally find in a mall like well known brand names, eateries serving diverse types of foods, food court, karaoke and video arcades, Dataran Pahlawan also offers traditional items. Two of its largest tenants are Carrefour and Golden Screen Cinema. For visitor’s convenience, basic facilities as surau, parking areas and toilets are also provided.
I particularly like the Heritage Gallery section of the mall. You can find all sorts of traditional bits and pieces there such as food, handicrafts, cultural stuffs and souvenirs. It’s a one stop center for local traditional food for example cencalok, belacan, dodol, kerepek, keropok, manisan and many more.
Located strategically in the heart of Bandar Hilir, this mall is within walking distance from Mahkota Parade and Menara Tamingsari. If you want to have a unique shopping experience while in Melaka, pay Dataran Pahlawan a visit. Feel free to browse its official website.
