My one and only sister, Umairah, tied the knot on June 6, 2011. After days of preparations, the d-day finally arrived. On the eve of June 6, all of us went to Masjid Rafeah, Taman Uda (the same mosque in which I got married). The sacred ceremony was scheduled to take place after solat Asar.
Alhamdulillah after one lafaz of akad nikah, my sister and her betrothed, Fizan, were pronounced sah as husband and wife. They met and fell in love in Genting where both of them are working. Dah jodohkan…
After the akad nikah, we invited the groom’s entourage to our house for tea. Fried bihun and traditional delicacies (karipap, serimuka & tepung talam) were the spread on that lovely evening. These were served accompanied by hot tea.
