East Coast Trip, May 2012

Dear Diary,

During Wesak Day weekend, we took a trip to East Coast. It was a free and easy holiday trip as there was no fixed plan of places to go or activities to do. We just went with the flow. Weather was not on our side too. It rained mostly during our stay there which made our movement and activities limited.

Departed from Shah Alam late Friday evening, we safely arrived in Kuantan at around 8pm. At first, we wanted to hang around Teluk Cempedak but it was raining; so instead we took a spin around Kuantan town. Wow, Kuantan’s skyline and landscape have changed since the last time I was there. There’re new high rises and buildings. It’s brighter and more happening now compared to before.

Since we couldn’t do much, we sped off to our next destination Cherating. On the way, we stopped at one of the roadside restaurants along Beserah-Balok trunk road for dinner. We gambled to eat at any of the places because all of us were very hungry. Sadly to say, the foods and drinks were such a letdown.

After a flavorless dinner, we hit the road again and finally checked in at Holiday Villa Cherating.....to be continued.
