Genting Indoor Theme Park, Feb 2011

Dear Diary,
After having fun picking strawberries for a couple of hours, we continued our journey up the hill. Next on our agenda was Genting's First World Indoor Theme Park. Gosh, there were like sea of humans everywhere. Finding parking spot was impossible. All hotels’ parking bays were full. We ended up parking our car down the hill behind First World Hotel after countless rounds up and down the road. Luckily there was shuttle van to and fro between parking area and First World Hotel. If not we’d have to climb and walk down the slope in the chilly and foggy weather and believe me it’s not an easy task with two children and a baby. Not to mention dangerous too.
First we hit the food court for lunch. Then, Indoor Theme Park here we came! All kinds of rides we tried namely Rio Float, Reindeer Cruiser, Mini Train, Ferris Wheel and Venice Gondola. As long as we met the requirements (height, baby, etc), we definitely be on the rides. Mak and bapak budak dah sama naik dengan anak-anak ha!
The rides were exhilarating but the waiting and queuing that were tiring. Towards the end (which was around 9pm) the kids started to get cranky because they were really exhausted by that time. Though we were dead beat, we had tons of fun. It was worth all the weariness seeing happiness in my kids’ eyes and hearing their laughter.
Apart from the rides, there are numerous other attractions as well such as Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum, Snow World and Haunted House. Due to time constraint, we only focused on the rides for this trip. In my opinion, if you really want to enjoy most of what Genting has to offer, it is better if you spend the night or a few nights there. For more info, click here.
