Ikan Bakar Parameswara, Umbai, Melaka, Feb 2011

Dear Diary,
After asam pedas eating, sightseeing, crocodile watching and water splashing sessions, we completed our trip with a seafood dinner at the famous Ikan Bakar Parameswara, Umbai. This famous restaurant is situated at Medan Ikan Bakar Pernu-Umbai, near the jetty to Pulau Besar. Each vehicle is charged RM1 to get into this area. The view is undeniably unique and beautiful.
I don’t know was it my taste bud or the cooking, I found all the food we ordered were bland. Maybe my expectation was too high considering how often people mention this restaurant or maybe we chose wrong recipes or cooking methods for each dish that did not complement the raw ingredients. Even my sour sop juice was watery and did not have sour sop taste to it at all. Seriously, I’ve tasted better seafood cooking before…much better.

Sotong Goreng Tepung, Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, Siakap 3 Rasa, Kailan Ikan Masin

As we pulled out of our parking spot, I saw a huge disparity between Parameswara and other restaurants in that Medan Ikan Bakar area. Parameswara was definitely a crowd puller, buzzing with customers who keep coming in; compared to other restaurants which had very few customers or worst some of them have none at all.
The address is Ikan Bakar Parameswara, Medan Ikan Bakar, Pangkalan Pernu, Umbai 75460 Melaka. This restaurant opens daily except on Monday.

Rina - Oh dear, don't start with Sabah's seafood. Dulu time keje if outstation Sabah, sure angkut seafood bawak balik sini. Seafood fresh tau hihi!!! Murah!

Ermayum - Dah lama kita tak get together kan hmmm.. Kebetulan gi Melaka, gi la makan kat tempat femes ni tp unai frust la. Tak sesedap yg diharap... :(

Maya - If you nak gi tempat ni, try other masakan. Jgn order apa yg i order...tak sedap la kat tekak kami ni.

Hello! I know this is sort of off-topic however I
needed to ask. Does managing a well-established
website such as yours take a large amount of work? I am
brand new to running a blog but I do write in my diary on a daily basis.
I'd like to start a blog so I can share my experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips
for brand new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!
